Here’s how to add, delete, and modify tokens in your targeted campaign tools:
Step 1: Go to the Content screen under your campaign tool’s Edit tab.
Step 2: Scroll down the page. Under the Supporter and Target Content section, you’ll see that every field has a list of token categories below it to choose from:
- Tool Content
- Tool Submission
- User Friendly Tokens
Step 3: Drop down one of these token categories using the arrows to the left-hand side of the page. You’ll see that tokens are organized by:
- Name: A descriptive label for the token.
- Token: It’s got brackets, so you know that this is your placeholder text.
- Description: These guidelines help you understand how each token will work in your tool.
Step 4: Make sure you have your cursor on the field (e.g. Your Message) where you want to place the token. Click on the linked placeholder text under Token. The token will appear in the field where you placed your cursor.
Step 5: Click the Save & Next button in the bottom right-hand corner of the Content page. You will be taken to your Embedded Tool Preview, where you can confirm that your token is in place and working the way you want it to.
